If you believe Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words, “Life is a Journey, not a Destination” to be true and you choose to travel the two-lane roads over interstate highways, this blog was created for you. We are searching for natural beauty and points of interest in the United States and Canada. Along the way, we also explore healthy lifestyles, including exercise, food, good books, and photography.
Our big adventure began the day we got married, and there haven’t been many boring days since. Over the years, we have gone through the boating stage, the motorcycle stage, and the farm stage. The van life stage feels different and the most exciting to us. After five years of RV ownership, our instincts tell us that our marriage grows stronger and more interesting with each passing mile.
Our mission with travel and general lifestyle is to balance our desire to nurture family and also seek adventure as a couple. We are Mom and Dad to three adult kids and grandparents to five. Each year, we travel for weeks at a time and are at our home base for months at a time. We generate blog posts year-round no matter where we are. Our blog is a journal of our experiences on the road. The travel stories we write about can be places we are currently at, but most often are about places we visited a while ago.
